Sunday antenna gardening.

Trying out an antenna for 5oMHz - it looks a bit strange, the 50r coax is connected
through a 1.1m tuning stub of 75r coax in the garden = the left side is the diamond where the coax is connected too and the right side is reflector. They are both approximatly parrallel and same shape. I heard nothing really on 50mhz but did hear the Bux beacon but not moving the S meter. The direction is approximatly North.

G3ZME NFD - part of the setup on Long Mynd

Breaking down the station which comprised of a
2m, 4m, 6m and 10cm radios. Dark clouds with sunny
break bring out the colours of the heather on Long Mynd.

2008 NFD G3ZME on top of Long Mynd (IO82nn)

I could not go help until the end - but here's the team who braved awful windy,
wet weather to hopefully get Telford & District Amatuer Radio Society a trophy
back for the National field Day event for VHF and up frequencies.

Not quite the weather shown in a photo a year ago in this blog.
